Laurelin is a Autobot, a member of the last generation to be created before the loss of the AllSpark. She is the wife of Optimus Prime and mother of Tahila Prime as she is always ready to do the right thing, and can always be counted on to volunteer for action. Her combat characteristics, matched with her impressive speed, made her an excellent asset on war-torn Cybertron, even after the Transformers' age-old war spilled over to Earth.
Earth was a far cry from the ravaged wasteland of her birth, and Laurelin adapted to her new home faster than any of her fellow Autobots. She's grown to like and understand humans, particularly Hank "Herinetta". In befriending the natives, Laurelin also developed a love for human culture, be it the historical exploits of Earth's cowboys or cheesy hair-metal bands. In some ways, she considers the planet to be her adopted homeworld.
Appearance[]
Laurelin is a female Transformer with a mostly pink, dark pink, and gray color scheme. She has a built-in gem on the waist, and her midriff is a dark grey color. She has two pink "boots" with white heels, along with wheels in the "butt". She has headlights around her protruded chest. She has a small sliver on her head crest, which is there at most times. Her face is a light silvery grey with pink lips.
She transforms into a 2017 CRS Sports Coupe.
In Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Laurelin's waist, upper arms, thighs, hands, feet, and face are gray. The armor, which is mostly on her face, chest, forearms, and lower legs are pink and dark pink, with the front of her car form acting as the chest, and the doors of her car form attached to her back.
She transforms into a slick pink car with a sharp nose and an all glass roof.
Personality[]
Sweet, motherly, and gentle, Laurelin is a very caring bot, making sacrifices to ensure the safety of the team and their human allies, even he would go as far as to sacrifice himself to save them, Earth, and Cybertron. Laurelin also has a strong sense of honor and loyalty.
Aside from having a slight childish side, Laurelin loves her husband and daughter to death and enjoys being around them. Still, if her husband, daughter, or fellow Autobots are threatened or hurt in any way, she flips from helpful and kind to furious and aggressive like a light switch.
History[]
Transformers Prime[]
Years later, after the war, Laurelin was stationed on Earth under Optimus Prime's command. She was patrolling a metropolis area when Optimus ordered everyone back to base so that they could use the GroundBridge to provide Cliffjumper with backup. They did so, but arrived at the battle site too late—Cliffjumper had been taken by the Decepticons, and apparently killed. The Autobots held a brief memorial for their friend.
When Arcee and Jack Darby were pursued by Decepticons, Bumblebee and Laurelin joined in the chase as it moved onto the freeway. After a brief attempt to slow the Decepticons, they joined Arcee in facing the foe in a drainage canal, Bumblebee accidentally crushing a toy car belonging to Rafael Esquivel. During the fight Bumblebee was knocked to the ground, and only Raf's timely distraction allowed him to temporarily get the better of the Decepticons, until Bulkhead arrived and helped them scare the Decepticons off.
Optimus was disappointed that humans had gotten involved, and had Bumblebee and Arcee bring them back to the base. Darkness Rising, Part 1 When Ratchet detected Cliffjumper's signal, Laurelin was part of the team that went to try and rescue their comrade. Though he and the others valiantly fought through the multitudes of Decepticons at an energon mine, their mission was ultimately a failure, and they had to return to base hastily as the mine exploded.
The next day, when they reached the base, Optimus, Laurelin, and Ratchet left on a mission, placing Arcee in charge. Optimus, Laurelin, and Ratchet head to the site of an ancient Transformer battleground on Earth, arriving just as Megatron used a sliver of Dark Energon to reanimate the corpses buried there into a Terrorcon legion.Struggling against the detrimental effects of Dark Energon, the trio cut their way through the Terrorcons, but Megatron escaped before Optimus could get his hands on him. Returning to base, Optimus was disappointed to find that Bulkhead had let the kids go out into battle in his absence, but disturbing intel had been recovered in the process: the Decepticons were planning to use a space bridge to revive the dead of Cybertron with Dark Energon. GroundBridging to the Decepticon's space bridge in Earth orbit, Optimus faced Megatron down in a one-on-one battle while the other Autobots sabotage the bridge, causing it to explode and destroy the Terrorcons, and apparently, Megatron himself.
Transformers: Robots in Disguise[]
After Cybertron was repopulated with Autobots, Bumblebee and Laurelin, who was taking care of her recent daughter, Tahila Prime, were both effectively given the role of a beat cop due to being blacklisted by the High Council for being a supporter of Optimus Prime, though they were still renowned as war heroes for their part in Cybertron's restoration. While patrolling Kaon City, with Bumblebee's partner, Cadet Strongarm, Bumblebee, Laurelin, and Tahila were responding to a criminal act on the part of Sideswipe when he experienced a vision of Optimus telling him to go to Earth. With the unwelcome company of Strongarm and Sideswipe, Bumblebee made illegal use of a space bridge in the Cybertron History Museum to reach Earth, where they discovered Fixit and the remains of the prison ship Alchemor, which had crashed and scattered its Decepticon prisoners. Pursuing the Decepticon Underbite, Bumblebee, Laurelin, and Tahila found their team joined by Grimlock and the humans Denny and Russell Clay. They managed to prevent Underbite reaching nearby Crown City and lured him to a quarry, where Optimus Prime unexpectedly manifested to aid them in capturing the Decepticon.
